Full job description

Our Auckland base client is looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team and support the day-to-day running and operations of the business.

Minimum 30 hours guaranteed.

This is a key role within the business with a varied range of duties however, the key

Responsibilities include:

  • Fabricating various security products – we are looking for someone with the skills and initiative to complete design and fabrication to the All Steel Security quality and standard.
  • Development and design of new products – our ideal candidate will have plenty of initiative and drive, as well as input into development, continuous improvement and ‘best practice’ ways-of-working.
  • Site work relating to projects and installation of products, customer facing
  • Problem solving, both in the workshop and during installs

The successful candidate will:

  • Have at least 2+ years minimum in mild steel engineering and fabrication.
  • Be competent in Mild steel Mig (gas and gasless) welding fabrication skills
  • Aluminium, stainless steel Tig welding skills are an advantage but not essential.
  • Be a safe operator of all standard workshop machinery (drill press, bandsaw, lathe, plasma cutter, etc.).
  • Demonstrate the ability and desire to work within a team as well as individually with minimum supervision.
  • Be a great team player with a positive attitude and show a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
  • Have excellent time management skills and be able to meet set targets.
  • A good command of the English language is essential.
  • Demonstrate an excellent attitude towards Health and Safety and prioritize the safety and wellbeing of themselves and others.
