Truck Driver Jobs Full Description
- Drive a heavy truck with goods
- Ensure safe and efficient collection and delivery of freight to commercial customers in a timely manner
- Carefully maneuver vehicles into position for loading and unloading
- Ensure your vehicle loaded safely and correctly
- Moreover Use lifting and tipping devices to assist with loading and unloading of vehicles
- Verify loading documents including weighing before and after loading of goods
- Make regular quality checks of vehicles at routine intervals to ensure they can be driven safely
- Check the condition of the load, search for any faults and ensure that the truck is properly secured
- Moreover Collect and verify delivery instructions and plan routes to meet delivery schedules
- Report defects, accidents, or violations
- Maintain an accurate and complete record of documents including logbook, fuel card etc
- Interact with a wide range of customers
- Moreover A high level of professionalism/customer service required
- Complete duties whilst adhering to Health and Safety Protocols
- Be able to work autonomously once provided directions, or in a team
