Site Engineer Jobs Full Description
Due to continued growth, SEE Group is looking for Site Engineers to join our Urban Development team on projects across the Logan and Greater Ipswich Regions. In joining a certified ‘Great Place to Work‘ you will be responsible for providing advice in the planning, coordination and supervision of technical aspects of our construction projects. You will be responsible for conducting quality assurance, project administration, financial reporting, ensuring health and safety and meeting project deadlines. You will be able to establish a professional work environment that includes fostering a positive atmosphere, promoting proactive and effective communication, and facilitating problem solving.
Site Engineer Jobs in Australia Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and management of construction methods, materials, and quality standards for civil engineering projects;
- Interpret detailed specifications and ensure compliance with engineering requirements and safety standards;
- Manage daily site operations, including labour, plant, and equipment;
- Prepare and implement schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and coordination of site activities;
- Conduct site investigations and test soil and rock samples for strength and load-bearing capacity;
- Review architectural and engineering drawings to inform project planning;
- Estimate project costs and develop comprehensive cost plans;
- Design structural solutions that ensure safety, durability, and compliance with local regulations and industry standards;
- Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle; and
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil);
- Background in Engineering, Construction and Delivery processes and experience in actual project delivery;
- Proven management skills, practices and planning ability;
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities;
- Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts, specifications, Australian standards;
- Computer literacy, particularly experience working with MS Excel and MS Project applications;
- Highly effective planning, organizing and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others; and
- High attention to detail.
