Job Title: Industrial Duct Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Duct Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of ductwork systems used in industrial settings, including HVAC systems, air ventilation, and exhaust systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with metal and other materials used in duct construction, as well as a solid understanding of industrial safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Duct Installation: Install industrial ductwork for HVAC, exhaust, and ventilation systems, ensuring proper alignment, secure connections, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintenance & Repairs: Inspect, maintain, and repair existing ductwork systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Troubleshoot issues such as air leaks, blockages, and damage.
• Fabrication: Cut, shape, and assemble ductwork components, including sheet metal, fiberglass, and other materials, using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install and modify duct systems as per project requirements.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and standards, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and ensure work is done in accordance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other trades, including HVAC technicians, electricians, and general contractors, to ensure the timely completion of projects.
• Quality Control: Conduct inspections to ensure ductwork is properly installed, sealed, and insulated, meeting both industry standards and project specifications.
• Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues related to duct systems.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial ductwork installation, maintenance, and repair. Previous experience working in industrial or commercial settings is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment necessary for duct installation and maintenance. Ability to work with a variety of materials, including sheet metal, duct insulation, and sealants.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings accurately.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods. Must be comfortable working at heights or in challenging environments.
• Certification: [Insert any required certifications, e.g., OSHA certification, HVAC certification, etc.]
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure precise installation and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Skills: Experience with welding, sheet metal work, or other advanced fabrication techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of Industrial HVAC Systems: Familiarity with industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems is highly desirable.

Work Environment:

This position may require working in various industrial environments, including construction sites, factories, or commercial buildings. The role may involve exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions, so comfort with working in these environments is essential.
