This full-time, permanent position offers guaranteed 40 hours of work per week (with the possibility of up to 50 hours), along with competitive hourly pay starting from $29.66 per hour, depending on experience. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with both animals and crops, gaining valuable experience across various aspects of farm operations, including milking, crop cultivation, animal welfare, and farm equipment maintenance.
Full Job Description
We are looking to hire several Farm Workers to work on our farms in the Rotorua area. Are progressive in our farming practices, have modern facilities & machinery, and good on-farm systems. We are seeking Farm Workers to join our team who have a passion for working with animals and crops, have good communications, and who are keen to progress in the farming industry. You will assist with daily operational tasks as required on farms.
- Fencing and weed control
- Moving handling and rearing calves safely
- Pasture and feed allocation
- Effluent spreading and learning how the system runs
- Maintaining the water system and farm irrigation systems
- Safely operating farm vehicles and machinery as needed on farm and assists with basic maintenance
- Be able to follow instructions, communicate, and work as part of a team.
To Considered You Must:
- Provide a current CV
- Have some farming experience
- Willing to learn and develop
- Be a hard-working, honest, committed and reliable team member
- Confident using computers, smartphones, and other technology, and understands the value of collecting good quality data and how it ceused to make decisions
- physically fit
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must have a clean criminal record
- Have a full driver’s license
