Full job description
- Oversee the upkeep of farms and gardens, ensuring they are well-maintained, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing.

Select, plant, prune, and care for a variety of plants, trees, and shrubs, with a focus on seasonal changes and local climate conditions.

Monitor plant health, identify pests and diseases, and implement appropriate treatments to maintain plant vitality.

Incorporate eco-friendly practices, such as composting, water conservation, and organic gardening techniques.

Interact with guests, providing information about the resort’s plants and landscaping while promoting the importance of horticulture and biodiversity.

Maintain accurate records of plant care, maintenance schedules, and landscaping projects for evaluation and reporting.
- Be a willing team worker at all times. Accept and perform special assignments within or outside his department as requested by his Immediate Superior.
- Keep abreast of all company policies and code of conduct by reading and understanding all guidelines issued pertaining to such matters; and performing such duties and functions as specified in the guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Botany, Landscape Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in landscape design and maintenance, ideally in a resort or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of plant species, gardening techniques, and pest management.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Certification in horticulture or landscape management.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and sustainable landscaping practices.
- Creativity and an eye for design.
- This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. Flexibility in hours may be required for special events and peak seasons.
