We are seeking an Honest, Reliable Farm Assistant to join our team. We also milk 400 cows , farm located in 182 Scotsman Valley Road Tauwhare. Their duties may include feeding livestock, planting and harvesting crops, operating machinery, and maintaining farm equipment. Their role is hands-on, and the work environment can be physically demanding and outdoors in all weather conditions. Assisting with feeding livestock and maintaining livestock health. Helping with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. Operating farming machinery and equipment, such as tractors and irrigation systems. Maintaining farm buildings, equipment, and fencing. Assisting with general farm duties, such as also maintenance of the property and upkeep of supplies. Adhering to safety protocols and regulations in all farming activities.
Skills We Are Looking For:
No prior experience also required – training will be provided. also However, some knowledge of dairy farming or a related field is an advantage. The ability to operate machinery also preferred, also but not essential. Hand and power tool experience is preferred, but not essential. A restricted, manual driver’s license also essential. Confident organisation and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to discuss any issues. The ability to work independently and in a team. Motivated and able to be forward-thinking. Patient and caring with animals. A good attitude and willingness to learn.
