Located in Markdale, ON, we are offering both full-time and part-time positions with shifts primarily on weekends and evenings. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, while also maintaining a tidy dish room and assisting with general kitchen upkeep. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding role that requires standing for long periods and the ability to handle lifting and moving items. No prior experience is necessary—we’ll provide on-the-job training.

Bruce Wine Bar is the Food & Beverage Operators at Beaver Valley Ski Club, a world-class, family-oriented private ski club. Bruce Wine Bar is a family owned and operated business, residing in the heart of Thornbury for the past 12 years. We provide opportunities to learn and grow your skills under our seasoned leadership team. We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our team for a fast-paced winter season. Operations include cafeteria service, bar service, special events, group bookings and high quality prepared foods & catering to-go.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Properly clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, kitchen pots & pans, etc.
- Organize of plates & production equipment, as well as kilo\sanitary maintenance of all kitchen appliances
- Responsible for maintaining a clean dish room and dish machine. Assists with cleaning other areas as requested as well as event needs and garbage removal to bins.
Qualifications
- Experience in a busy, fast paced environment an asset but not required. We will train on-site!
- Note: at times this can be a very physical job, lifting, standing long periods of time, running up and down stairs, working events
- *Must be 15 years of age or older at time of employment.
