Gilmours Tauranga is a leading and well-established wholesale Food & Beverage distribution company dedicated to providing top-quality products and exceptional service to our valued customers. Our people are valuable to us, and we are looking for an experienced, reliable, and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our dedicated office team.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate our delivery vehicles to transport products to our valued customers.
- Follow delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and care to maintain product quality.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building and maintaining positive relationships with our customers.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including invoices, proof of delivery, and relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Perform routine vehicle safety checks and report any maintenance or operational issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Valid New Zealand driver’s license (Class 2 or higher) with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role – favorable but not required.
- Capable of lifting heavy boxes 20kg+ when doing deliveries, therefore being physically fit.
- Knowledge of the delivery area, including the ability to navigate efficiently.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Client-focused approach and ability to foster good relationships with clients.
- Positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Problem-solving approach with initiative and enthusiasm.
- Eligibility to work in NZ.
- Able to pass a drug test.
