Full Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Projects and working with also the Lynn Lake Project Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the successful delivery of the Lynn Lake Gold Project. This project is currently in the Engineering Phase of Development, with also Early Works commencing in 2024. The Project Field Engineer will be involved with engineering, procurement, construction and also commissioning of all on-site civil and process facilities associated with the Lynn Lake Gold Project.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the engineering work is completed and also adequately reviewed by relevant stakeholders in line with the project budget and schedule;
- Ensure that the engineering design is safe and fit for purpose;
- Assist in the development of comprehensive, clear, specific scopes also of work and other relevant procurement documents;
- Participation in the development of requests for proposals of equipment/materials and contractors and assist with contractor selection;
- Work closely with the Alamos construction team and contractors to ensure requests for information (RFIs) are quickly addressed and closed; and
- Work closely with consultants and contractors to resolve and/or mitigate design and constructability issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in an also Engineering discipline (civil preferred) or Construction Management;
- Technical diploma with extensive also experience is an acceptable substitute to a bachelor’s degree;
- Minimum 10 years of progressive engineering, project management and construction experience in the mining industry, preferably related to mine infrastructure and processing plants;
- The individual should have demonstrated leadership ability, a high level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills;
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment;
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with site and corporate personnel; and
- Computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation, scheduling and spreadsheet applications.
